TOUR INFORMATION
OVERNIGHT SLEDDOG TOUR
We pick you up late afternoon and you drive your own team of Alaskan Huskies through the winter paradise. You have the option not to drive and sit on the guide’s sled but please let us know in advance.
We travel to a Wilderness Cabin where you can enjoy a delicious 3 course dinner after we feed the dog teams. On the evening will be also possibility to try traditional wooden sauna. In the morning we cook breakfast, then we feed the dogs and prepare ourselves and our furry friends for the journey back to the kennel.
PROGRAM
OVERNIGHT SLEDDOG TOUR
DAY 1
– Pick up from your hotel/accommodation at 15:30
– Arrival at our kennel (meet dogs, dress to the winter clothes and boots)
– Your guide will give you instructions how to drive dogs, harness them and make dog teams
– Start dogsled tour from the kennel to wilderness camp
– Arrival at wilderness camp, (no electricity, no running water)
– We take care of the dogs, unharness them, feed them, etc.
– 3 course dinner of local cuisine
– Optional sauna
DAY 2
– Breakfast
– Start trip from the wilderness camp around 9:30 (time agreed upon with the guide day before)
– Arrival back at the kennel
– Transfer back to the town/hotel/accommodation/airport approx. 11:00
